Hi all J
Happy weekend! Hope you are enjoying time with your family. Here we are
enjoying time with our friends, but after spending 10 days together now we are
more like family! We did so much today, so I will narrate mostly with pictures.
It was beautiful today in Budapest. The weather cleared up for us, but it is
not looking that way for tomorrow! Looks like I will figure out how to purchase
an umbrella! I don’t know if I can speak for Shelly, but I can speak for myself
when I tell you that Budapest is beautiful and I love it there! Wow, the
amazing sights we saw today. I took so many pictures, but I will share some of
my favorites with you today. I do not want to bore you will a million pictures!
When we get back we will play and talk about all the pictures. I am adding a
few pictures of our trip yesterday (Friday) where we visited a school museum in
Jazago. We met an 80 year old man named Shandola who was the head master at a
school in the city of Jazago. This school was tiny but beautiful! Can you
believe it only has 2 classrooms and it is still in tip top shape today!
Students attend this school daily. He also has a school museum of old toys,
books, and art work from the nineteenth century. Amazing at the work he did!
Then today (Saturday) we traveled to Budapest where we visited Kings Square,
Kings Square Castle, The Parliament, and then Castle Hill. Whew! We did a lot
of touring, but every minute was beautiful. We hope you enjoy the pictures. We
love and miss you! Good Afternoon in Florida; Goodnight in Hungary!
Hero's Square...
Hero's Square Castle in the background...
Famous Hungarian Poet.
Hero's Square Church.
Dog playing in the park! We all miss our dogs!
The Parliment! We visited quickly and then left because of a demonstration... We got out of there just in time!
Inside the Parliment.
Overlooking Budapest.
This is a very unique wall...It is located in Castle Hill. Can you see all the hole's in the wall? This is from World War II. Those are gun shot holes.
More dogs! Clearly we are missing our dogs, and of course our families!
Only the rich get married in this church.... Guess I better start saving my money. It was breathtaking!
This was an old car on the side of the road! Ha!
GO HUNGARY! I love this picture because of all the flags!
Enjoy! I am working on this very late, so I am VERY tired... If you did not see everything you wanted, I'm sorry and if I have any mispelled words, I'm SORRY! Off to bed! ;) xx
